1. Where is Strawberry Point?

Strawberry Point is located on Ice Lake, which is on Manitoulin Island. Located in Northern Ontario, Canada, Manitoulin Island is the largest freshwater island in the world.  Access the island by land via the swing bridge in Little Current or take a ride on the Chi-Cheemaun ferry which travels between Tobermory and South Baymouth.

2. How do I get to Strawberry Point?

Directions from the swing bridge in Little Current:

After crossing onto Manitoulin Island, go through Little Current, staying on Highway 540. You will go through the following communities: Little Current, Sucker Creek, M'Chigeeng (pronounced Chigeeng) and then Kagawong. Pay close attention in Kagawong as Highway 540 turns sharply to the left after the Bridal Viel Esso Service Station. Approximately 8 kilometers after that sharp turn, (still on Hwy 540) you will come to Robertson Rd. There is a used car lot (Dad's Auto Sales) and a lumber store (Benedict Lumber) at this corner. Turn left. Proceed south to the stop sign (this is where the Ice Lake Church of Christ is located) and then straight through. Approximately 1 km after the stop sign, Strawberry Point Road is on your right, half way down a hill. Follow this dirt road through a gate and to the Strawberry Point parking lot.

Directions from the ferry (South Baymouth):

After leaving the ferry you will be on Highway 6. Follow Highway six north for approxiamtely 8 Kilometres. Turn left onto Highway 542. After travelling for approximately 20 minutes, you will come to the town of Mindemoya. At the Shell station at the main interesection in town, turn right onto Highway 551. Follow Highway 551 north for approximately 10 kilometres to M'Chigeeng (pronounced Chigeeng). At the stop sign, turn left onto Highway 540 and then proceed west to Kagawong.
